Bio
Diego García is a Latin Grammy-nominated mixing engineer, record producer, audio engineer, and musician based in Spain.
He graduated with honors in audio production from Middlesex University, London. He is an Avid Certificate Pro Tools Instructor and Voting Member of The Latin Recording Academy (Latin Grammys).
He began his career as an Engineer in the studio of the historical producer and composer Oscar Gómez (winner of 4 Latin Grammys and 1 Grammy, he has sold more than 20 million of physical records among Spain and Latin America and he has worked with artists such as Albert Hammond, Celia Cruz, Miguel Bosé, Julio Iglesias, Plácido Domingo, Ana Belén, Bonnie Tyler, Roberto Carlos, Umberto Tozzi, Mocedades, Dyango, Jose Luis Perales, Rocio Jurado, Joan Manuel Serrat, Camilo Sexto, Chayanne and a long etcetera) with whom he continues to work today.
Parallel to musical production and his work in various studios, he has made mixes for Spanish Television music specials and has toured with national and international artists, mixing their live shows. He has studied with some of the most prestigious international engineers such as Jaycen Joshua (Rosalia, C.Tangana, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Rhianna…) Chris Lord-Alge (Muse, Green Day, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, James Brown…) or Rafa Sardina (Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, Dr.Dre, Alejandro Sanz…), and he also was mentored by the American producer and engineer Joe Marlett (Blink 182, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Relient K, Laura Pausini, Despistaos, Revolver…)
He combines his professional activity with teaching audio engineering, mixing, and music production classes in several specialized masters.
In 2023 he received a Latin Grammy nomination for his work as a mixing engineer on the album “Quejíos de un malante” by Omar Montes
